https://journals.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ijeiis/article/view/2355

The concept of psychological resilience and what makes human beings bounce back from adversities has always intrigued philosophers and theologians in the past and continues to fascinate modern psychology. It has been claimed by Western psychology that Emmy Werner, an American developmental psychologist, was one of the earliest scientists to study psychological resilience in the 1980s. In this paper, the author aims to reveal an even earlier presentation of what we understand today as resilience, based on the 12th-century work, The Principle of Patience, written by Ibn Taimiyyah during the golden age of Islam. Discovery of this manuscript reveals that Ibn Taimiyyah’s twenty recommendations for fostering psychological resilience parallel modern-day therapeutic interventions employed in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The research also reveals that Ibn Taimiyyah should be credited for identifying acceptance, patience, and forgiveness as key tools for building psychological resilience and highlighting their positive impact on physical and mental health, nearly centuries before modern psychology.
Sayema Zulfeqar

https://journals.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ijeiis/article/view/2421

The Palestinian issue positions the National Committee for the Palestinian People (KNRP) as a humanitarian organization dedicated to aiding and supporting Palestinian independence, necessitating effective execution of da'wah activities. Da'wah's enduring relevance is attributed to its adaptability to contemporary needs, with its management process significantly impacting the attainment of its goals through the structured organization of human and other resources. Commencing with the current matter, this research aims to describe the Da'wah activities of KNRP, which are managed in actions to care for Palestine in Medan City, starting from planning da'wah activities, organizing, actuating, to controlling and evaluating da'wah activities. The subjects of this research are the administrators of the National Committee for the Palestinian People in Medan City, Indonesia. The author used an interview method to collect this information from three sources and documentation: books, journals, photos, videos, and official websites. The research results relate to four management functions. First, KNRP's missionary planning is to carry out outreach and education about the Palestinian problem by gathering moral and material support from various elements of society. Second, the da'wah organization at KNRP is divided into core volunteers and freelance volunteers. Core volunteers are registered in the management structure and consist of regional, program, and operational coordinators. Third, the implementation of da'wah at KNRP involves carrying out work programs that were created at the beginning based on the KNRP vision and mission. Distribute humanitarian aid from the community to the Palestinian people and collaborate with various parties within and outside the country. Fourth, KNRP da'wah is monitored by providing fixed procedures for every existing activity and creating an annual evaluation forum for monthly and national working meetings.
Siti Wahyummi Nur JannahAbdullah Abdullah

https://journals.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ijeiis/article/view/2192

The development of information technology gives two sides of the coin in the dynamic of human life, whether positive or negative. This condition is also pertinent to transactions involving cosmetics and psychotropic substances; without close supervision, it may result in consumer harm. In light of this concern, the present study aims to examine how law reviewing the online spreading of medicines gives law protection. This research uses the normative juridical method with the legislative approach. This research uses a qualitative research method in the form of normative juridical research with a statutory approach regarding Online Counterfeit Drugs and examines the synchronization and consistency of its implementation. The legal sources used are primary and secondary sources relating to Online Counterfeit Drugs guarantees. The data collection technique uses library research by examining references to primary and secondary legal sources. Furthermore, the author investigated and evaluated the efficacy of legal sources. This study was carried out from the perspective of Maqashid al-Sharia. The findings of this study indicate a pressing need for regulations that protect consumers engaging in online transactions, particularly those involving pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and psychotropic substances. Such regulations are essential to prevent consumer losses by ensuring strict liability for manufacturers if their products cause harm. Additionally, the study highlights the crucial role of pharmacists and the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) in overseeing the distribution of drugs and cosmetics prior to their market release.
Amoury Adi SudiroSiti FarhaniAris Machmud

https://journals.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ijeiis/article/view/2386

Islamic spiritual upliftment is a transformative journey that purifies the soul, aligns with divine guidance, and fosters a personal relationship with Allah. This study aimed to explore the techniques and impacts of spiritual upliftment in Islam, providing insights for the Muslim Ummah to enhance their spiritual growth. Using a qualitative approach with an analytical descriptive method, we reviewed 25 publications from 2015 to 2022, including books, articles, and online materials. Our findings revealed that embracing Islam guidelines and teachings, such as prayer, repentance, Qur'an recitation, remembrance of Allah, and ethical conduct, leads to inner tranquillity, resilience, a deeper connection with the Creator, and contentment despite external circumstances. Our study highlights the importance of tawhid (oneness with Allah), worship, and ethical conduct in achieving spiritual upliftment. This review provides a comprehensive understanding of Islamic spiritual upliftment, guiding Muslims to cultivate a stronger connection with Allah and embody excellence, responsibility, compassion, and social justice.
Sani HamisuAishatu Abubakar Kumo

https://journals.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ijeiis/article/view/2325

Hajj, one of the pillars of Islam, requires physical and mental capability, making it more suitable for healthy individuals. Recognizing the strong desire of older Muslims to perform Hajj, several countries have implemented "Elderly Friendly Hajj" programs. These initiatives aim to ensure senior citizens can participate in Hajj with greater comfort, reflecting Islam's inclusive values and ease of worship. This research investigates the 2023 Elderly Friendly Hajj Program to provide an evaluation for the Indonesian government to enhance the following year's Hajj organization. The study employs a narrative literature review model, comparing data on Hajj and Fiqh for senior citizens, observations of pilgrims, and literature on Hajj policies and regulations. Additionally, interviews with Hajj officers and pilgrims were conducted to gather firsthand insights. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis. The findings reveal that the government is continuously improving the Hajj system and management, focusing on prioritizing elderly pilgrims. Significant emphasis is placed on providing senior citizens maximum comfort and worship opportunities through enhanced infrastructure, tailored services, and adjustments in Fiqh laws to accommodate their needs. This study underscores the importance of inclusive practices in religious observances, ensuring senior citizens can fulfil their spiritual obligations with dignity and ease. The evaluation aims to assist the Indonesian government in making informed decisions to improve Hajj services for the elderly further in the future.
Badrah UyuniMohammad Adnan

https://journals.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ijeiis/article/view/2432

Transpersonal psychology offers a perspective that emphasizes the spiritual aspects of human experiences and consciousness, summarized in a concept that represents human's spiritual consciousness, self-transcendence. Unfortunately, its formalized concept, along with its spiritual aspects, showed the necessity for further inquiry, especially from the Islamic worldview. This research aimed to critically review the concept of self-transcendence in transpersonal psychology from the perspective of the Islamic worldview. This research was done by applying the library research method, collecting data from the works of Viktor Frankl and Abraham Maslow, who are prominent figures in the related topic, in addition to the works of various scholars about transpersonal psychology. The researcher used an analytical method to analyze it. After completing this research, the researcher found out that 1) the concept of self-transcendence formulized in the framework of existentialism implied to be inevitably anthropocentric, which needed to be criticized by replacing it with the Islamic theocentric framework; 2) the misconception of its spiritual aspect provides experiences that cannot represent genuine and authentic spirituality, whether in a state of inclusive spirituality or a form of spiritual pluralism; 3) self-transcendence from Islamic perspective required not only horizontal connection with nature but also vertical transpersonal with God so that it can fulfil one's inherent nature and consequently live a meaningful life in obedience to his God. Based on these findings, the researcher concluded that self-transcendence in transpersonal psychology was infected with the Western paradigm. Therefore, it should be cured by applying the Islamic worldview to gain proper relation between self and God and other creatures.
Jarman ArroisiHusain Zahrul MuhsininAhmad Rizqi Fadlilah

https://journals.researchsynergypress.com/index.php/ijeiis/article/view/2417

In 2021, the Indonesian government merged three major state-owned Islamic banks to support the halal industry in the country. Numerous studies have analyzed balance sheet ratios to assess the conditions of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) before and after the merger. However, the reliability of balance sheet ratios is highly contingent on the accounting method employed by companies. Consequently, this study utilizes Economic Value Added (EVA) to measure BSI's financial performance before and after the merger. The primary objective of this research is to test and provide empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of the EVA approach in demonstrating the economic added value to BSI throughout the merger. Employing a quantitative approach and secondary data from the financial statements of BSI before and after the merger serves as the data source. The findings reveal that the financial performance of BSI before and after the merger provides economic added value to the company and aligns with stakeholder expectations. Notably, research on financial performance using EVA at BSI before and after the merger is scarce, as most studies resort to ratio analysis for this purpose. It is important to acknowledge the limitations of this research, which solely introduces EVA to assess the economic added value in financial statements. Other approaches beyond ratio analysis can be explored to measure the quality of financial statements.
Moza Audina SophariaPupung PurnamasariInnez Assyffa Andien Wahyuningtyas
