Focus and Scope

The Asian Journal of Social and Behavioral Research (AJSBR) is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the understanding of human behavior in business, organizational, and management contexts across Asia and beyond. The journal serves as an academic platform that integrates insights from psychology, management, economics, neuroscience, and the social sciences to explain and improve individual and collective behavior at work.

AJSBR welcomes empirical, theoretical, and methodological contributions that bridge behavioral science with real-world organizational and managerial challenges. The journal aims to foster scientific knowledge that supports evidence-based decision-making, human capital development, and sustainable organizational performance in the dynamic Asian business environment.

Scope

Submissions may include (but are not limited to) the following areas:

  1. Interdisciplinary behavioral research in business and management, including cross-disciplinary approaches combining psychology, management, sociology, and economics.
  2. Human resource theory and practice, with a focus on motivation, leadership, performance, employee engagement, and talent development.
  3. Positive psychology and well-being at work, addressing flourishing, resilience, meaningful work, and positive organizational behavior.
  4. Behavioral, cognitive, and social neuroscience in the workplace, exploring the neural and cognitive bases of leadership, decision-making, creativity, and social interaction.
  5. Decision-making in business, including behavioral economics, risk perception, and cognitive biases in managerial and organizational settings.
  6. Human behavior in relation to work, covering work attitudes, personality, organizational culture, and behavioral ethics.
  7. Industrial and organizational psychology, encompassing job design, work motivation, team dynamics, and organizational change.
  8. Emerging perspectives on human behavior in business, including digital transformation, AI-human interaction, sustainable behavior, and cross-cultural management in the Asian context.

AJSBR encourages diverse methodological approaches, including quantitative, qualitative, experimental, and mixed-method designs as well as conceptual and review articles that advance theoretical and practical understanding.
