Government Policy and Public Relations Contribution to the Public Crisis (Covid-19)

Government is an institution that has the authority to create populist policies in dealing with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on society. Furthermore, Public Relations is an important part that can communicate government policies to the public. This study aims to analyze government policies and public relations to the Covid-19 public crisis in Banggai district. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. This study uses the purposive sampling technique; the informants arethe Regent of Banggai and the head of the Covid-19 Task Force, and the Head of Public Relations. Data collection techniques used through observation, interviews, documentation, and data analysis techniques used are the interactive model of Miles and Huberman in data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of this study describe local government policies in the form of quick responses (quick win), health management, handling of economic impacts, and provision of social safety nets, as well as the contribution of Public Relations in the form of policy campaigning through print media, electronic media, social media (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), banners and conventional communication patterns (appeals through places of worship and BPU).

5. Co-Authorship
If the article was jointly prepared by other authors, the signatory of this form warrants that he/she has been authorized by all co-authors to sign this agreement on their behalf, and agrees to inform his/her co-authors of the terms of this agreement.
6. Termination
This agreement can be terminated by the author or International Journal of Entrpreneurship and Sustainability Studies (IJEASS) two months’ notice where the other party has materially breached this agreement and failed to remedy such breach within a month of being given the terminating party’s notice requesting such breach to be remedied. No breach or violation of this agreement will cause this agreement or any license granted in it to terminate automatically or affect the definition of International Journal of Entrpreneurship and Sustainability Studies (IJEASS).
7. Royalties
This agreement entitles the author to no royalties or other fees. To such extent as legally permissible, the author waives his or her right to collect royalties relative to the article in respect of any use of the article by This agreement can be terminated by the author or International Journal of Entrpreneurship and Sustainability Studies (IJEASS) upon two months’ notice where the other party has materially breached this agreement and failed to remedy such breach within a month of being given the terminating party’s notice requesting such breach to be remedied. International Journal of Entrpreneurship and Sustainability Studies (IJEASS) will publish the article (or have it published) in the journal if the article’s editorial process is successfully completed and the International Journal of Entrpreneurship and Sustainability Studies (IJEASS) or its sublicensee has become obligated to have the article published. International Journal of Entrpreneurship and Sustainability Studies (IJEASS) may conform the article to a style of punctuation, spelling, capitalization, referencing, and usage that it deems appropriate. The author acknowledges that the article may be published so that it will be publicly accessible and such access will be free of charge for the readers
